1. Agreement to Terms
By using Deaf Pickleball League ("DPL") at deafpickleballleague.com, you agree to these Terms. DPL is operated by PickleUnlimited.
2. Description of Service
DPL provides a team-based pickleball league platform for the Deaf community. Teams compete in MLP-format matches across seasons, with sub-games covering women's singles, men's singles, mixed doubles, and dream breaker. DPL displays each player's DPR rating on team rosters and player cards (similar to how Major League Pickleball displays a player's DUPR rating). The focal competitive metric in DPL is the team rating, which is computed from league play and lives in DPL only.
3. Ratings Isolation
DPL is intentionally separated from individual rating systems. League play results, team ratings, wins, losses, and final standings are not shared with Deaf Pickleball Ratings (DPR) for individual rating calculations and are not exported to DUPR. Participating in DPL will not affect your DPR rating or DUPR rating — your individual rating reflects only matches played in DPR-tracked formats (Singles, Doubles, Mixed, Skinny, Scrambler), never league team play. This isolation is a deliberate commitment so players can compete on a team without risking their individual rating.
4. Accounts
Your DPL account is a PickleUnlimited account shared across DPR, DPB, and DPL. Players must hold a DPR (Deaf Pickleball Ratings) account before being added to a DPL team roster — DPR is the player identity layer for the PickleUnlimited ecosystem. Fan accounts (ticket purchases, team follows) do not require a DPR player profile and can sign up for DPL directly. You are responsible for maintaining account security and providing accurate information.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not submit false match results
- Do not interfere with league operations
- Do not harass players, coaches, or staff
6. Termination
We may suspend accounts for violations. Match results and standings are retained for league integrity.
7. Limitation of Liability
DPL is provided "as is." Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
